All Trailer Separation Problems and Solutions Animation

Trailer separation (also known as Early Departure or Aggressive Pullout) is when a truck driver mistakenly drives away while a forklift (or lift truck) is actively loading a trailer, causing a forklift to fall out of the trailer or drive off the 4 foot drop off. Considering this accounts for 7% of all loading dock accidents, this cannot be ignored.

In 1980, Rite-Hite developed the first vehicle restraint of its kind, the Dok-Lok®, designed to keep trailers from separating from the dock, has helped protect employees during loading and unloading for over 40 years.
