Rite-Hite to Add 3rd Shift at Dubuque Plant

DUBUQUE, Iowa (January 17, 2022) – Rite-Hite Environmental Enclosures, a division of industrial products manufacturer Rite-Hite, today announced that it will add a 3rd shift at its Dubuque factory in early 2022. The company plans to hire approximately 100 manufacturing associates for assembly, industrial sewing, welding and CNC machining to cover the new 11 PM-7 AM shift, as well as bolster the existing 1st and 2nd shifts. The workforce expansion is designed to help the division, that manufactures loading dock seals and shelters, double its current production levels by mid-2022.

“We are experiencing record customer demand for our loading dock seal and shelter products right now, which has led to a very healthy number of orders to produce as effectively as possible,” said Sara Everts, Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications at Rite-Hite. “Given our plant’s potential production capacity, state-of-the-art equipment and the excellent local workforce, it makes complete sense to keep growing our business in Dubuque.”

Rite-Hite’s Dubuque facility is a major local employer, with roughly 430 employees making the loading dock seal/shelter products as well as industrial doors, HVLS fans, safety barriers, fabric curtain walls and fabric air dispersion systems. Located at 4343 Chavenelle Road, the plant was originally built in 1983 and most recently expanded in 2017. The Rite-Hite and DuctSox products manufactured in Dubuque are installed in factories, warehouses, distribution centers and commercial facilities all across the US and around the world.

Rite-Hite has started hiring production supervisors, team leads and plant maintenance technicians, and is focusing on adding production associates here in the new year. Third shift operations will tentatively begin in February. A Career Fair at the production facility will take place on January 27th, 2022 from 11 AM – 3 PM. “As an organization, we value all of our employees and work hard to offer a defined career path with advancement opportunities for our manufacturing associates,” added Everts.
