TP900 Foam Fit Dock Seal

Dock seals are generally constructed of foam and fabric which are compressed by a trailer backing into a loading dock position.

Advantages

Limitations

Provides tightest possible seal

Limited to 8'0"- and 8'6"-wide trucks

Sturdy, simple design

Creates high building wall pressure

Seals hinge gap of swinging door trailers

Cannot service step ledge, step bumper, or hydraulic tailgate trucks

Smallest overall width

Side pads can obstruct access to truck opening, decreasing loading/unloading efficiency

Good seal for consistent size

Foam and fabric can protrude into truck opening, increasing wear and tear.

ELIMINATOR(TM) Shelter

The Eliminator is constructed of a head curtain and two side curtains which wipe against the side of a backing trailer. The curtains are supported by impactable foam side frames and are attached with Velcro to allow for easy maintenance and replacement as the fabric becomes worn.

Advantages

Limitations

Provides full access to a variety of trucks

Does not seal hinge gap of hinge door trailers

Forgiving, extremely durable design

Removable side curtains provide light and ventilation in warm months and are easily replaced if worn

Does not require steel protective bumpers

Foam side frames can withstand the impact of a misguided backing trailer

ELIMINATOR(TM)-GapMaster(TM)Sealing Shelter

The Eliminator-GapMaster takes the Eliminator design one step further to increase sealing effectiveness by utilizing a patented rubber hook on the leading edge of each side curtain to effectively seal the "hinge gap" present on trailers with swing out doors.

Advantages

Limitations

Provides full access to a variety of trucks

Not recommended where truck levelers are used

Forgiving, extremely durable design

Removable side curtains provide light and ventilation in warm months and are easily replaced if worn

Does not require steel protective bumpers

Foam side frames can withstand the impact of a misguided backing trailer

Seals hinge gap of hinged door trailers to provide full weather protection

Fabrics

Seals and shelters take a pounding from weather, wear and repeated impact. That's why it pays to invest in the toughest fabric available today SteelSeal fabric from Frommelt. The SteelSeal fabric system is engineered to withstand the wear and tear at busy docks, and give you years of dependable service.

  • The SteelSeal base cloth is twice as heavy as most other fabrics to give you nearly twice the tear strength.
  • Our exclusive Tri-Polymer Alloy coating protects the base cloth from abrasion, weathering and UV degradation.
  • Our unique NO-PEEL polymeric adhesive system holds the coating tight to prevent peeling and subsequent damage to the base cloth.

Life expectancy testing as proven SteelSeal to last over twice as long as competitive fabrics before showing signs of initial damage.
