Safety is critical at the loading docks. Trucks, trailers, and forklifts move throughout loading areas. Trailers, dock levelers, and rolling doors can cause pinch points, and elevated docks pose a 4′ fall hazard. Workers must pay attention to these hazards and focus on safety training, proper use of equipment, and strict observation and supervision of work tasks.
Rite-Hite and Arbon Equipment Corporation recently held a loading dock safety seminar in Milwaukee, WI. The program provides an opportunity for individuals to learn more about existing and upcoming safety regulations, see new technology used in the industry and share ideas/best practices with other operators in an effort to improve loading dock safety.
Upcoming Energy Savings Seminars:
Thursday, August 25, 2011 – Dubuque, IA
Wednesday, September 28, 2011 – Milwaukee, WI
The seminar is free and open to anyone that would like to attend. Register for your seat now! Can’t attend these? Contact us now and we’ll be sure to notify you of future seminars.
