The Soft-Edge Safety System is only one of the safety advantages the Protecdor XL can now bring to larger industrial openings. An innovative Detecdor™ separation monitoring system is housed in each side frame. Immediately upon impact, it senses curtain separation, and door movement is stopped -- without the use of troublesome coil cords or external electronics. And reattachment is completed quickly and easily, without requiring tools. These unique features combined with: 1) internal and external reversing photo-eye mounted on each side of the curtain; 2) automatic system shut-off when side frames are open; and 3) manual non-powered opening in emergency situations, can help facilities run more safely and smoothly.
Protecdor XL operates efficiently with an opening speed of up to 45" per second. The springless counterbalance system assists in opening the door with fully enclosed counterweights. The XL also has an independent tensioning system, ergonomically positioned and placed within the side frames to keep the curtain panels taut.
The exclusive GaleForce™ wind retention system allows the XL to withstand gale force winds without the use of wind bars. The rugged 60 oz., EXCEL™ curtain fabric provides superior resistance to wear and tear, and innovative weather seals keep the perimeter sealed.
