Prevent Falls From All Levels of Your Facility

Failure to implement proper protection against falls topped the latest annual list of workplace safety violations released by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

In an industrial setting, vacant loading docks, unprotected mezzanines, elevated work platforms, and multi-level racking systems pose a high risk for employee related falls. Take steps to find and fix this common workplace hazard before OSHA shows up to your facility, or worse, someone gets injured.

The Need: A customer that runs a data center on one side of their facility and does additional work on the other, didn't want that part of their facility to be visible to their visitors. They wanted to put in a wall system that was flexible so they could tear it down and put back up as the data center expanded. However, the challenge was a 5 ton crane that ran on rails the length of the building. The customer still wanted to be able to run the crane from one side of the building to the other.

The Solution: Zoneworks® TZ15 curtain walls were installed on each side of the containers, as well as from the top of the ceiling to the bar joists. From the bottom of the joists to the top of the containers, black Superwear™ fabric was hung in strips with 50% overlap creating a heavy-duty strip curtain that allowed the crane to pass through. The customer has been very pleased with the solution and appreciated the creative thinking to make it happen.
