Dock Upgrade Propels New Belgium
As beer aficionados will attest, New Belgium Brewing is one of the hottest names in the brewing industry. The Fort Collins, Colo.-based company is the third-largest craft brewer in the nation and the eighth-largest U.S. brewery overall, with distribution in 39 states plus the District of Columbia. New Belgium has experienced particularly explosive growth in the last five years. As one might imagine, that growth—while welcomed—has caused certain challenges for the brewery.
With demand and production both rising dramatically, New Belgium’s shipping and receiving operations had to keep pace. There was simply no time for productivity-sapping equipment problems or injuries to dock workers.
