WL-200 Non-ICC Dependent Vehicle Restraint

To safely engage trailers with or without ICC bars, RITE-HITE® offers the rugged WHEEL-LOK(TM)
vehicle restraint. Ideal for facilities that receive a high volume of traffic without ICC bars - such as liftgate vehicles and drop-frame trailers. Also, in combination with DOK-LOK® restraints, the WHEEL-LOK(TM) restraint is ideal for use at one or two dock positions at facilities which receive a lower volume of this irregular traffic. |
Two 20" high solid steel barriers rise into position against the rear tires of the trailer once it is in position at the
dock and the operator presses the LOCK button. Able to secure trucks that single-barrier automatic chocking systems with one 16" chock cannot hold.
- Full Engagement Range
- From 40" to 16.5' from the dock. WHEEL-LOK(TM) restraints can handle
virtually any size or style of truck, including supervans and trailers with hydraulic lift gates.
- Runs Low
- Low profile sled which houses the dual barriers travels low along the track, avoiding interference with low-hanging truck parts, such as gas tanks, tool boxes, pallet carriers and landing gear.
Communication reliability is maximized as a result.
- Locks High
- Two 20" barriers lock high on the tires and provide powerful holding force. The WHEEL-LOK(TM)
restraint can resist pulling forces of over 32,000 lbs., more than any truck that typically appears at the dock can generate, even when empty.
- Simple Design
- Few parts mean greater reliability and ease of maintenance. Three basic components make up the complete system. The track and drive assembly, the sled which houses the barriers, and the
communication and control system are all simple to maintain.
- Rugged Construction
- The rugged steel sled that houses the dual WHEEL-LOK(TM) barriers is built
to withstand repeated rollovers by the heaviest trucks, day after day, year after year. The entire WHEEL-LOK(TM)
system has undergone extensive lab and field testing and is proven to perform reliably under worst-case conditions. All primary WHEEL-LOK(TM) components are zinc plated to
resist moisture and corrosion, for long-term, dependable service.
- All-Weather Operation
- The WHEEL-LOK(TM) restraint is designed to operate in all weather
conditions, including through debris, ice and snow. (Economical and environmentally safe above-ground mounting requires that snow-removal procedures be controlled to avoid contact with restraint.)
- Cost-Efficient
- Easy, surface-mounted installation requires no trenching or concrete work. The unit simply bolts to the concrete approach. Easy maintenance adds to low lifetime ownership cost.
