Hydraulic Levelers

RITE-HITE® offers a full line of hydraulic and mechanical dock levelers in size and capacity ranges to handle virtually all loading dock applications. The company revolutionized dock leveler safety in 1991 with the introduction of the HD-3000 SAFE-T-LIP® leveler, which incorporates a 7"-high steel impact barrier to help prevent forklifts from falling off vacant docks. The HD-3000 has since become RITE-HITE's most popular leveler.

The following features are standard on all RITE-HITE hydraulic levelers:

• Push button Operation
• Four-Sided Box Construction for maximum strength and durability.
• Front and Rear Header Reinforcement with triangular gussets to prevent structural failure known as "header separation."
• "C"-Shaped Support Beams constructed of high strength low alloy steel. Six or eight beams (depending on leveler width) provide greater strength at a lower weight and greater flexibility than standard structural forms such as I-beams.
• Heavy-Duty 3/16" Steel Plate Toeguards that also function as two additional outer deckplate support members.
• Written 10-Year Money-back Structural and Written 12-Month Money-back Warranty.
• Low Pressure Hydraulic System designed to minimize maintenance costs.
• Inverted Cylinder Mounting to increase system reliability by keeping a gap from forming in the hydraulic fluid level and eliminating the accumulation of dirt and debris on the cylinder ledge.
• Safe-T-Strut^(TM)maintenance support system that supports both ramp and lip and remains in place when leveler is raised to its highest operating position, or is impacted from the side or rear by a fork truck. System has lockout capability.
• Free-Fall Safety System incorporating a non-adjustable velocity fuse that limits platform free-fall to three inches.
• Fixed Rear Deck Hinges providing up to 4" of platform flex without causing the rear of the leveler to rise.

The following features are either standard or available as options on most RITE-HITE hydraulic levelers:

• Automatic Recycle from any leveler position when the truck departs with the leveler lip extended to help prevent "void in the floor" accidents.
• Vacant Dock Dropoff Protection with the SAFE-T-LIP^® impact barrier (HD-3000 only). The 7" high integral steel impact barrier automatically rises into position when the leveler is stored, and can be easily moved out of the way for unobstructed endloading from any leveler position.
• Infinite Control to extend the lip at any time during the leveler travel; feature also provides Emergency Safety Stop function (APB-1000 excluded).
• Grease Fittings for quick and convenient lubrication.
• Weatherseal with guide channel for easy replacement.
• Quick-Clean Frame Design for easy pit cleanout (APB-1000 excluded).

DUAL-DOK^® Combined Lift and Leveler

The DUAL-DOK® system provides the advantages of levelers, scissors lifts and ramps without the limitations. Functions as a leveler for servicing trailers from 12" above to 20" below dock level. Changes to a lift at the push of a button, eliminating the part-time inefficiency of standard scissors lifts. Can be used as a ramp without the wasted space and dangerous travel of a fixed ramp.
