The new Safe-T-Sprint™ “bi-rolling” power door offers safety and speed in an ideal design. Parting at the center, the Safe-T-Sprint door’s curtain quickly rolls to both sides of the opening and is contained within its compact side frames. Unlike conventional roll-up doors that may temporarily block vision and restrict traffic, the Safe-T-Sprint door’s horizontal action provides immediate full-height vision and material access. In addition, its bi-rolling movement prevents moisture and debris from falling back into the opening, while also eliminating other overhead operating concerns. Plus, the unique design lets the Safe-T-Sprint open at up to 84 inches per second and close at up to 40 inches per second for maximum efficiency. Air space between the dual curtain panels helps insulate against temperature and softens sound to provide exceptional environmental separation.
Safety features include two sets of reversing photo eyes to protect people and equipment, backed up by dual, sensitive, full-height reversing edges which cause the panels to immediately open if contact is made while the door is in motion. Its standard full-width vision panels are made of clear, heat sealed polyurethane, and tempered for extra strength and abrasion resistance. These 44 inch high vision panels allow pedestrians continuous eye-contact with approaching traffic from the opposite side of the door. The Safe-T-Sprint door’s quick, bi-rolling action moves the door out of the way rapidly, while also giving pedestrians continuous eye-level contact with the curtain. Special adjustable stay bars allow the door to compensate for pressure variations, and then reset automatically. And in case of an emergency power outage, the door can be easily opened manually to the full open position. The result is a safer, more efficient work environment for personnel and cargo.
