The Rite-Hite Aftermarket Corporation introduced a Hydraulic Dock Leveler Conversion Kit today, which converts mechanical style dock levelers into hydraulic style levelers. The “Conversion Kit” features a hydraulic lifting system which helps increase loading dock safety.
“Rite-Hite Aftermarket has introduced this product in response to many customer inquiries,” Rite-Hite Aftermarket President and CEO Paul Maly said. “In a very short time, the Hydraulic Dock Leveler Conversion Kit is already improving the safety and efficiency of many loading docks across the country.”
Rite-Hite Aftermarket’s Hydraulic Dock Leveler Conversion Kit improves safety by eliminating dock personnel from bending when pulling a chain to lift the leveler. In addition, this new “Conversion Kit” eliminates the need of dock workers “walking” down the raised leveler.
The “Conversion Kit” also helps dock safety by replacing the mechanical safety legs with hydraulic velocity-fuse safety which provides unrestricted leveler service range above and below dock. Plus, since there are fewer moving parts, maintenance costs are minimized.
Installation of the Rite-Hite Aftermarket Hydraulic Dock Lever Conversion Kit requires removal of all mechanical moving parts on the underside of the leveler. The “Conversion Kit” fits most Rite-Hite dock levelers and competitive brand mechanical dock levelers up to 7-feet wide and 8-feet long. Standard single-phase power or optional three-phase power can be used with the “Conversion Kit.”
The Rite-Hite Aftermarket Hydraulic Dock Leveler Conversion Kit includes: the hydraulic power unit, all hydraulic hoses and fittings, main “lifting” cylinder, lip cylinder, full- range toe guards, Safe-T-Strut® Support System, and push control box for easy activation.
