Bombardier Safer, More Productive with SAFE-T-LIP Leveler
|
Bombardier Corporation ships 45-ton passenger rail cars from its 60,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Shipping and receiving assistant, William Brown says: “We replaced a leveler we had with the SAFE-T-LIP leveler because of its superior reputation for durability and safety. “SAFE-T-LIP makes us more productive because it has significant advantages over our previous leveler, which was only seven months old. The barrier of the SAFE-T-LIP drops and allows for unobstructed endloading—a feature we rely on and that the leveler we removed didn’t have. The Rite-Hite leveler also works faster, and holds twice the weight of the previous leveler. The welds on the leveler we replaced actually cracked under the weight of our loads." |
The SAFE-T-LIP dock leveler’s ability to allow for unobstructed endloading was one of the reasons Bombardier replaced its seven-month-old leveler with a SAFE-T-LIP dock leveler. |

Its barrier is 7 inches high, and we like that security—it means fewer personnel injuries and less product damage.
