NEW PRO™ SYSTEM GIVES CUSTOMERS MORE
CONTROL OVER THEIR DOOR OPENINGS
MILWAUKEE, WI – Rite-Hite Doors, Inc., announces the introduction of a new drive system option for their Protecdor® family of high speed doors. The new Programmed Response Option (PRO™) system allows customers to choose not only to increase the opening speeds of these doors, but also to set the open and close speeds to meet their specific needs.

“The PRO system is the direct result of customer requests for more control over the operating speeds of their doors,” said Jim Boerger, Director of Engineering and High Cycle Product Manager for Rite-Hite Doors. “This new drive option will allow customers to tailor their operating speeds to fit their productivity needs -- an option that is not available on most high speed rollup doors.”

The new PRO system is available on both the Protecdor and Protecdor XL power doors from Rite-Hite Doors. The Protecdor and XL feature exclusive soft bottom edge technology to help protect personnel and property from impact damage. This soft-edge safety can now be combined with unmatched control at door openings.

Previously, open and close speeds had to be identical and were unchangeable. Now, customers have the choice of the standard operating speeds or the PRO system speed variability. The Protecdor power door, which is utilized in interior and cooler environments, now opens at 52” per second, and closes at 24” per second with the preset PRO System option. In addition, the Protecdor XL, which is utilized on exterior and larger interior, can now open at up to 50” per second and close at 24” per second with the preset PRO system.

Rite-Hite Doors, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., is a leading manufacturer of high performance doors designed for increased safety and productivity and reduced operating costs.
